The Bottom Line: The Asus G73JW is an excellent gaming notebook that only has a few differences compared to the G73JH. This is a great option for someone looking to do some serious gaming.
The Asus G73-series has an excellent finish and feels very strong. The screen hinges on this particular model feel very strong and the screen cover gives a great amount of protection for the LCD screen. The interior provides custom blue LED-lighting, but nothing over the top. There are no glossy surfaces on the interior or exterior of the notebook. If you take this notebook with you anywhere with bright lighting, as long you position the screen just right, you won't see any annoying glare bouncing of the plastic.
The Asus G73JW has a beautiful 17.3-inch display with a resolution of 1600 x 900. It features a spacious full-size keyboard that still has plenty of room of the sides preventing any crammed type of feeling. Ports includes three USB 2.0, one USB 3.0, Ethernet, VGA and HDMI-out, and a SDHC-card reader. The new configurations also sports a Blu-ray reader and DVD-burner combo drive to enjoy those HD movies whenever you want.
Thanks to its outstanding performance, the bright display, comfortable keyboard and touchpad in addition to the above-average sound quality, the G73 can easily qualify as a full-fledged desktop replacements. It has a heavy weight and overall size that isn't ideal for frequent traveling, but if you are on the move a lot at least you know you'll be on the move with style!
